Once I have absorbed the brief I will be able to advise whether the project is achievable within the budget, lead time etc. I then ask for a $750 deposit to enable the design/s to be developed. The deposit also secures workshop production time. The deposit is nonrefundable, however, it will be deducted from your first instalment of the overall commission cost.
I will share the design sheet with you either in person or via Zoom if in person isn’t practical, accompanied by a cost estimate.
At this stage I typically provide two designs, although sometimes it’s more. From this you select one design which will form our direction, and then I provide up to two revisions. If after two revisions you’re not happy with the design we can either cancel the project, or discuss an additional design fee.
I am always willing to continue to work on the design until you are 100% happy with it and will provide a fixed quotation for your approval.
Quoted prices do not include shipping costs, as these vary so wildly it has proven impossible to give an accurate price until very close to the delivery date. All I can offer in the early stages is what it has cost me in the past.
Shipping is free to destinations in the Geelong, Bellarine and Surfcoast regions or Victoria.
I have two payment plans depending on the value of the project:
Payment Plan One
Orders up to $10,000 excluding GST:
Two instalments of 50% (minus design deposit in the first instalment), before manufacturing and upon completion.
Payment Plan Two
Orders over $10,000 excluding GST:
Three instalments of 33%: before manufacture (minus design deposit), 33% during production upon my request, and 34% upon completion.
Before I order materials or start making anything I will issue an invoice for the first instalment.
The final instalment is always due prior to delivery of the finished piece.
