Display Stands in Tasmanian Myrtle

A pair of disply stands for a customer's ceramic collection — the fourth commission from the same family.

A pair of stands for a customer’s ceramic collection — the fourth commission from the same family. The brief was simple: two heights, display a vase on each. The rest was trust.

The frames are solid Tasmanian Myrtle, joined at every corner with three-way mitres. Top panels float in a groove, free to move with the seasons. Below the shelf, the legs taper to a point. The construction is identical to my hall table frame, scaled down and made vertical.

360 mm square. The taller stand is 900 mm high, the shorter 720 mm. Designed as a pair but they work alone.

Display stands from $2,000 each, any timber, any height.
