Description
About 3 years ago I was fortunate enough to get my hands on three consecutive air-dried slabs of the most densely figured Red Gum I have ever seen. It was made into a table, two chairs, and finally this cabinet. To stretch what was left as far as it could go, the door is shop-sawn veneers, and the love-heart is a natural feature created by an insect bore hole that, when the two pieces were book matched, formed a perfect love heart. The back panel is silver ash, to give some contrast (and to make it easier to see whatever is inside!).
